Terms of Service
Last updated 4 November 2026
Plain rules for a simple product. Read the short version, or the whole thing below.
This agreement
These terms apply whenever you visit googlemapsapi.io, use the GoogleMapsAPI.io console or call the GoogleMapsAPI.io API. In this document, “GoogleMapsAPI.io”, “we” and “us” refer to Prism Digital, LLC (131 Continental Dr Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, US), the operator of those services, and “you” means the person using them. If you use GoogleMapsAPI.io on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that company.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the service.
What the service does
GoogleMapsAPI.io returns information that is publicly visible on local business listings and official corporate websites: business names, addresses, coordinates, categories, opening hours, ratings, customer reviews, photos, and publicly published website emails and social links.
GoogleMapsAPI.io is an independent developer infrastructure provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or Google Maps Platform.
Your account and API keys
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract.
- The details you give us when you sign up must be accurate.
- Your API keys work like passwords. Store them securely and rotate a key as soon as you think it has leaked. Every request made with your key is billed to your account.
Credits and billing
GoogleMapsAPI.io uses a unit-based credit ledger ($1 = 10,000 Credits). You top up your balance or purchase a monthly subscription plan via our supported payment processors, and each successful billable request is deducted at the rate shown on the pricing page. Pay-As-You-Go credit packs never expire.
If we change our prices, the new rate will be published on the pricing page before it applies.
We may also grant promotional credits, such as 2,000 free trial credits to qualifying new accounts at sign-up. Whether an account qualifies is decided by automated abuse checks. Promotional credits are spent before your paid balance, earliest expiry first, and each grant expires 60 days after it is issued; any unused part is then void. They have no cash value and cannot be refunded, withdrawn or transferred.
Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use GoogleMapsAPI.io, or data obtained through it, to:
- harass, defraud, or send unlawful unsolicited bulk communications;
- try to obtain non-public data, get around our access controls or rate limits, or use someone else’s API key;
- disrupt, overload, probe or reverse-engineer our systems;
- break any law, or infringe anyone else’s rights.
The service may not be used from, or for the benefit of anyone in, countries and regions under comprehensive sanctions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Availability and changes
We work to keep GoogleMapsAPI.io fast and available, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Business listings and websites change constantly, and responses reflect what was publicly available when the listing was indexed or fetched. We may add, change or retire endpoints and features, and we may take the service down briefly for maintenance.
Suspension and closing an account
You can stop using GoogleMapsAPI.io whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account, without advance notice where necessary, if it breaks these terms, puts the service or other customers at risk, or if the law requires us to.
What happens to an unused balance is described in the Refund Policy.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
